Sweetwater ISD recently completed their 2010-2011 United Way Campaign for the local Nolan County Chapter.Â Through the generosity and support of the SISD team members, Sweetwater ISD donated $10,000 to the local agencies supported by the Nolan County United Way.Â The top contributing campus was Sweetwater Intermediate School and the biggest increases from last year were Sweetwater High School and J.P. Cowen Early Childhood Center.
Sweetwater High School students Kelsey Jones, Kaitlen Harrison and Alicia Finn are presenting a $500 check to Laura Orr, Sweetwater High School United Way Leader. The money was collected at the Junior/Senior Powderpuff Football game and donated to the Nolan County United Way to benefit the represented local agencies.
On Oct. 22, 2010, DMI Agency started a contest referred to as "Santa Bucks". This referral contest was based on their existing clients and their referrals. For each referral that a client turned in, their name was added to the drawing along with the name of the new referral.

Sweetwaterâ€™s Taylor Jones (5) is guarded by a Breckenridge player during Tuesdayâ€™s game that the Mustangs won 36-33. Jones scored 10 points for Sweetwater, which travels to Bangs this Friday.
Tuesdayâ€™s district opener against Veribest brought out the very best in the Blackwell girls basketball team as the Lady Hornets romped to a 58-28 victory.
It was the most onesided win of the year â€” and also the second victory over Veribest in four days â€” for Blackwell, which improved its season mark to 5-10.
Jennifer Allen and Aman-da Bullard scored 14 points, Kaitlyn Gaston 13 and Rec-cie Roland 11 for Blackwell, which led 11-1, 23-8 and 36-16 at the quarter breaks. Gaston hit two 3-pointers and Roland one.
