Camp Boothe Oaks hosts Twilight Camp

August 8, 2011

Swinging Bridge Twilight Camp was held last week at Camp Boothe Oaks, south of Sweetwater. "Have you ever heard a tree sing? Have you ever seen a bug dance? The camp comes alive when the girls start arriving. When we grow up, we forget to look down, look up and look around to everything growing and living around us. We are so busy making a living that we forget to live. Even in this tremendous heat the girls had a marvelous time.” One of the special things is singing around the "Singing Tree."

Roscoe will seek another playoff berth

In 2010, Roscoe had to work harder than usual to make the postseason, but earned its 13th straight trip despite a 4-7 overall record.
Keeping that streak alive won’t be easy. Not only did the Plowboys lose multi-talented quarterback Caden Smith, the district’s MVP, to graduation, but Roscoe returns just four players who started a year ago.
