On Saturday evening, Aug. 20, 2011, the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report that a Ford F-350 pickup had been stolen at gunpoint from Runnels County. The pickup was last seen traveling north on Texas Highway 153 near the community of Wingate in northern Runnels County.
In last weekâ€™s article it stated, â€śThere is no central repository of vaccination records;â€ť that is no longer true due to ImmTrac, the Texas immunization registry.
ImmTrac is a free service from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). It is a secure, confidential registry that stores childrenâ€™s, Texas first respondersâ€™ and first responder family membersâ€™ vaccine information electronically in one centralized system.

Danny Bell, 56, and Jenie Bell, 56, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, south of Snyder, Texas. Funeral services for Danny and Jenie Bell will be Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Colorado City, TX . Rev. Jackie Brem will be officiating services, and will be assisted by Christian Motorcycle Association Chaplin, Tony Clifton. There will be a family visitation on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at Dorn Cemetery.
Memorial services for Robert Keith Bowen, 54, of San Angelo, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. James Baker officiating. He was cremated at McCoy Funeral Home.
Bowen died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, in Austin.
He was born Feb. 24, 1957, in Hamlin. He was a Baptist. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1975. Keith became a rancher and worked in Tucson, Ariz. for 16 months and New Mexico several years and also in Wyoming. He also lived in San Angelo the past couple of years and drove a truck for Jones Brothers Trucking in San Angelo.
Funeral services for Bernice Mae (Williams) Branson, 82, of Plainview, (formerly of Sweetwater and Snyder), will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Deacon Bill Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Branson died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at her home in Plainview, Texas.
F. Nadine Gillespie, age 76,Â of Abilene, Texas passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at her residence.Â
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Toby Patrick officiating.Â Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
F. Nadine Gillespie was born on June 13, 1935, in Pain Springs, Texas to JohnÂ and Carrie Irene (Anderson) Gandy.Â She was a homemaker.Â
Dennis Lester Schaefer, 55, of Norton passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 20, 1955, in San Angelo to Lester and Edna (Lange) Schaefer. He graduated from Ballinger High School in 1974 and attended Angelo State University. A lifetime member of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ballinger he was also a member of Ballinger Knights of Columbus, Ballinger Young Farmers and Catholic Life.
A suspect is dead following a shooting in Sweetwater Saturday night that stemmed from a police chase, according to DPS troopers.
Senior Trooper Sparky Dean says information remains sketchy at this point. However, it's his understanding a suspect stole a truck at gunpoint in Runnels County.
Troopers then chased the truck into Sweetwater where the driver reportedly wrecked into a car on Lamar Street and pulled into the Gill's Chicken parking lot.
