Being as it has been one of the driest years on record for the State of Texas, homeowners’ landscapes have suffered. Letting your grass go is not a huge loss, since grass can be re-seeded without a huge cost. However, replacing trees and large shrubs can be very expensive. That is why some landscapers suggest making it a priority to save your trees and not to worry too much about your lawn.

Based strictly on wins and losses, Sweetwater has had as much success so far this season as any team in its district. And the Mustangs will be looking to build on their 3-1 start when they go to Midland Greenwood this Friday — the first of two straight games involving trips to Midland.
Sweetwater and Green-wood are both coming off a victory. The Mustangs were a 19-0 winner over Class 2A Early, while Greenwood (2-2) rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit to defeat 4A San Angelo Lake View 23-19.
With a 16-13 record, the Sweetwater High School volleyball team already has five more victories than it did all of last season.
Now the Lady Mustangs will start to gauge their progress even more as they start district at Big Spring this Friday.
Sweetwater hosted Gra-ham on Tuesday and lost in straight sets by scores off 21-25, 24-26, 18-25 in its final pre-district match.
Roscoe will end non-district play by hosting Munday this Friday, while Highland goes to Black-well for the annual Battle of the Hornets.
Roscoe (0-4) vs. Munday (3-1)
It’s been a tough year so far for the Plowboys, who have been outscored 199-28 in their first four games while using a host of players with little or no varsity experience.
Roscoe has also had to play an especially brutal non-district schedule as its four opponents so far have a combined record of 14-1.
