On Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m., a black male subject wearing a white t-shirt and long, dark gray athletic shorts, with white stripe down the outside of each leg, entered the Chillerz #5 Shell convenience store located at 800 12th Street in Roscoe, Texas and robbed a female subject of $200 cash, according to the Nolan County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect is believed to be a black male in his early 30s, approximately 5'9"-5'10" and weighs around 175 pounds. The suspect had some facial hair, which included a short goatee.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 138 calls for service, issued 14 citations and made seven arrests from Oct. 19-21, 2012.
The SPD received 88, 911 calls.

Cynthia Ann Carter Wiley, 61, of San Angelo, Texas died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence.

Sweetwater High Schoolâ€™s cross country team has re-scheduled its district meet at Snyder for Wednesday, after rainy weather forced a cancellation of Mondayâ€™s scheduled action.
In addition to competing at a tuneup meet hosted by Roscoe this past Tuesday, Sweetwater also traveled to Odessa for a meet Oct. 11. Places and times follow:

Sweetwater ends its season at 6:30 p.m. today by hosting first-place Wylie at Mustang Gym.
Campbell and Shirley are among eight Sweetwater seniors who will be playing their final match.

It happened at the Chillerz #5 convenience store, on 12th Street in Roscoe on Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2012. According to the Nolan County Sheriff's Office, a woman was shopping at the convenience store when a man barged in and robbed her of $200.
In an attempt to recover the money, the victim was dragged from the parking lot onto the north frontage road of Interstate 20, prior to falling from the vehicle. She suffered minor injuries.
On Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, Trinity Baptist Church celebrated the realization of a 50-year vision.Â Since the beginning of the church, Trinity has had a vision of growth.Â The original church was constructed with a planned addition and while the plans were modified over time, the vision to grow and serve the community of Sweetwater has remained steadfast.
