The 2012 Nolan County Health Fair was in full-swing on Thursday, November 8 at the TSTC (Texas State Technical College) Fitness Center, located on the Sweetwater campus.
Vendors from Sweetwater, Nolan County and the surrounding areas were able to present their booths to attendees, who could visit their stations to learn about various companies and programs while walking away with free items as well.
Among those with booths was the TSTC Nursing Department. Their booth was primarily directed to Alzheimer's awareness, with informative sheets that cite warning signs of the disease.

After a gutwrenching loss to Monahans this past week, Sweetwater’s football team must have two things happen Friday in order to get into the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
First, Sweetwater must defeat Wylie, which not only has clinched a playoff spot but is the No. 2-ranked team in the state with a 9-0 record and is 4-0 in district play. Also, Sweetwater must hope that Snyder (1-3, 3-6) beats Greenwood (2-2, 6-3) which would make Sweet-water the district’s No. 3 team with a 3-2 record.
