CLYDE â€” Vivian Elease Brown Seaton, 82, of Clyde, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, at the funeral home.
A 38-6 season-opening loss to De Leon on Thursday at the Sammy Baugh Classic wasnâ€™t what Roscoe was hoping for. But head coach Jonathan Haseloff still saw encouraging signs for his team, which is coming off an 0-10 season.

Nolan Countyâ€™s two six-man Hornet football teams begin the regular season today with hopes of showing much better results than a year ago when they combined for just four victories, with one of them coming as the result of a forfeit.
Highland is facing a tough opener against Motley County at Jaytonâ€™s Gridiron Classic starting at 6 p.m. as it begins trying to improve on last yearâ€™s season that ended at 3-7. The Classic is a three-day tournament that will feature a total of seven games. Motley County was the state runnerup in Divi-sion II this past season.
