In looking back over his past year as Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce President, Rodney Foster has come to realize that life truly is sweet in Sweetwater.
In contrast to the national economy, Foster says that Sweetwater has been a fortunate community in which to live, with a varied economic foundation that enables the city to thrive.
"A diverse economic base combined with our greatest attribute--great people, allows our community to enjoy a great reputation for raising a family," said Foster.

Members of the Sweetwater Dive Team from the Sweetwater Fire Department fished out a trailer that had gone into Lake Sweetwater on Thursday morning.
According to Sweetwater Emergency Services Manager Grant Madden, Nolan County Game Warden Jake Simmering called the dive team when a trailer hitch malfunctioned, causing the trailer to go into the lake.
The trailer hitch was misadjusted and the boat on the trailer launched prematurely, taking the trailer with it. The trailer was flipped over and pointed in the opposite direction and had to be turned over and turned around by hand.
