The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department is administering the flu vaccine during regular immunization clinic every Wednesday from 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. and the second Wednesday of each month until 6 p.m. The cost is $20 for all adults and children 3-18 years of age, even if they have insurance. Medicare, part B is accepted. The cost for children who do not have insurance is $6 and Medicaid and CHIP are accepted. For more information regarding immunizations, call 235-5463.
Students at TSTC (Texas State Technical College) in the West Texas Collision Repair Club, part of the auto body program at the school, recently assisted the City of Sweetwater by painting decals on trash barrels at Newman Park.
The trash barrels were recently painted by the TSTC Student Government, but auto body students stenciled âParks Deptâ on the barrels.

The Constitutional Amendment Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. At this time, however, voters can now start requesting a ballot by mail, in which Friday, Sept. 6 was the first day to apply.
The last day to register to vote was on Monday, Oct. 7. Additionally, the last day for the county clerk to receive the application to vote by mail is on Friday, Oct. 25.
FORT WORTH â Doris Juanita Fleming, 81, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013.
Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, in Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan. Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Doris was born May 1, 1932, in Roby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Chauncy Lewis; brother, Charles Robert Lewis; sister, Glenda Sue Lewis; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Saunders.

GREENWOOD â The Sweetwater football team arrived at Greenwood to a huge dust storm on Friday, and after that subsided the Mustangs had to play in by far the coldest weather they have seen since practices began in early August.
But none of that weather â or a Greenwood squad that was fighting to save its playoff hopes in District 4-3A â could slow down Sweetwater.
For the first time in over a month, Coach Shane Mob-leyâs team left the field on the right side of the score-board as they ended a three-game losing streak with a 54-29 victory.
Sweetwaterâs junior var-sity team cruised to a 46-0 home win on Thursday over Greenwood as the Mustangs remained undefeated (2-0) in district and are now 5-1 for the season.
Max Gomez threw for six touchdowns, four of them to Michael Green and two to Hunter Mobley, who also returned an interception for a score. Other defensive standouts for Sweetwater, which allowed just one first down, were Adrian Vizzer-ra, Keegan Von Atzigen and Colby Greenwood.
Also, Branson Guelker played well on the offensive line and was able to finish the game after dislocating a finger.
