Funeral services for Ruthie Mae Sparks, 89, of Bronte and formerly of Blackwell, are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
Sparks died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Bronte Nursing Home.

Blackwell has a chance to do something today when it faces Lueders-Avoca in the Six-Man Division II playoffs that it hasnâ€™t done since the 1990s â€” come away with a victory in the postseason.
They get another chance to do that at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook. And the Horn-ets (9-1) â€” who have played an actual game only once in the past month â€” will prob-ably be chomping at the bit to face Lueders-Avoca (7-3) in bi-district.
The Roscoe girls bas-ketball team picked up its first win of the sea-son with a 52-38 victory at Robert Lee on Tuesday. The Plowgirls will host Winters today.
Eva Aguayo led Ros-coeâ€™s win with 21 points while Samantha Ortega chipped in with 10. Also scoring were Olivia Sad-dler and Whitney Wil-liams with five, Ashton Payne with three and Shelby Brown, Danielle Dean, Mia Herrera and Selena Perez with two. Roscoe led 14-4, 33-12 and 41-21 at the quarter breaks.
Sweetwater hosts a Class 2A, Division II playoff be-tween Cisco and Stanton today at Mustang Bowl. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
Cisco (10-0) comes in with a No. 5 state ranking in Class 2A while Stanton (6-4) was unranked at the end of the regular season.
Three teams from District 4-3A have playoffs set for today. In Division I, Wylie (7-3) plays Fort Stockton at 7:30 p.m. in Big Spring, while Big Spring (7-3) meets Fabens at 7 p.m. in Pecos.
In Division II, Snyder (3-7) plays Clint at 7:30 p.m. in Kermit. On Thursday, Monahans (7-3) advanced by beating Pecos 35-13.
Loraine advanced to the area round of the Six-Man Division II playoffs Thurs-day with a 52-0 shutout win over Robert Lee.
The Bulldogs, who came in ranked No. 7 in Six-Man, Division II, needed just two quarters to finish off Rob-ert Lee at Blackwellâ€™s Hor-net Field, as the game ended by the 45-point mercy rule. Robert Lee finished its season at 4-5.
