ROSCOE â€” A late rally pushed Roscoe past Winters, 31-27, in girls basketball ac-tion Tuesday. The Plowgirls trailed by one until winning the fourth period 12-7.
Roscoe (2-2) led 8-7 after one quarter but Winters led 18-14 at halftime and 20-19 after three periods.
Roscoe was paced by Eva Aguayo with 10 points. Ashton Payne added eight points, Shelby Brown sev-en, Olivia Saddler three, Whitney Williams two and Selena Perez one to the win-ning cause.
Roscoeâ€™s JV girls lost 51-17 to Stamfordâ€™s JV.
The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department will be giving free blood glucose tests from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday at the health department, located at 301 E. 12th Street. Information pamphlets will be available on diabetes. The event is sponsored by the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Diabetic Outreach Program.
The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for Rolling Plains RV and Mr. Câ€™s Asphalt Maintenance at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at 9909 1-20 (on south side of I-20 between exits 240 and 242).
