The Fourth Annual 5K Run for the WASP will take place this Saturday at the National WASP WWII Museum, located at 210 Avenger Field Road in Sweetwater.
The event will include a 5K Run for the WASP, 1.3 mile Fun Walk, and a 1 mile Kids Race, as part of the Veterans Day Celebration honoring the WWII Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP) and all veterans. The race starts at 1 p.m. and the kids run is at 12:40 p.m. with a WWII aircraft fly-over.
Nolan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center hosted this monthâ€™s Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce coffee event.

Marjorie Thompson Broman, 82, passed away on Oct. 28, 2013 as a result of Alzheimerâ€™s.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1931 in Sweetwater, Tex. to E.H. and Minnie Puckett Thompson. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William (Bill) Henry Broman, Sr., who she married on Nov. 17, 1956.
Today will be sunny with a high near 67. Winds will be calm, but shift to the southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
