The seventh grade Red picked up the only football victory for Sweetwater Middle School at Mona-hans this past Thursday.
All four SMS teams will end their seasons by hosting Wyie this Thursday.

Sweetwater Red got TDs from Carson Brownlow (15-yard run), Ethan Cabal-lero (20-yard run) and Alex Gallegos (70-yard run) in the first half vs. Monahans, and Taiden Smith also scored on a 75-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter. Brownlow and Gallegos had extra-point runs.
Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 59. Winds will be from the north-northeast at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Nolan Nursing and Rehab, located at 705 NE Georgia.
There will be a RED OUT Friday night at Mustang Bowl. Sweetwater Independent School District is encouraging everyone to wear their red and pack the stands for the most exciting game of the season against Wylie. There will also be a RED OUT T-shirt give-away. The first 200 adult ticket holders through the gate and wearing red, will win a RED OUT T-shirt.
At halftime, there will be a â€śBlack Outâ€ť performance by the Mighty Mustang Marching Band.
Members of the Nolan County Foundation Board recently approved a Matching Grant of $40,000 for the under-construction Cardiac Rehab and Wellness Facility at the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. This action came after a presentation to the NCF Board by RPMH Administrator Donna Boatright and Wes Stafford detailing this newest project.
Several members of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) visited Southeast Elementary School recently to teach Kindergarten and first grade students about stranger danger.

The County Clerkâ€™s office wants to remind voters about the new voter ID law, which requires one of the following forms of identification before a person is allowed to vote. The ID is necessary even if a voter has their voter registration card on hand.
The types of ID that will be accepted are:

Sweetwa-ter clinched a playoff spot by beating Snyder, and the Lady Mustangs will now face Fabens at 5 p.m. today to begin their post-season run. The bi-district playoff will be in Crane.

Cory Mendez is the Sweet-water Football Player of the Week.
Mendez was in on nine tackles, three unassisted, and had an 81-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the teamâ€™s 28-9 win over Monahans.
