Heads up, chocolate lovers! This pie is the adult version of the candy that we all know and love so well.
For the crust:
24 peanut butter filled chocolate sandwich cookies
3 tablespoons melted butter
Pulse together in the food processor until it is all crumbly and they all stick together to form a fine crust. Mold into a 10" pie and refrigerate until completely firm.
For the filling, blend together:
1 18 oz. jar of creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
If you're about to give up on healthier living as your New Year's resolution, one new program might have you reconsidering your decision.
Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater is establishing a new ministry called Trinity Fitness, or TRI-FIT. The program is designed to be an inspiration for healthier living in order to be better prepared to serve God.
For the last thirty-three years, Ron Stovall was employed at the Roscoe State Bank. This Thursday, a celebration will be held in his honor at the Roscoe Community Center from 5 to 7 p.m.
On April 1, 1979, Stovall was hired as a vice president of Roscoe State Bank by Clyde Jay, the father of the current bank president, John Jay. Stovall called the senior Jay an "inspiration" and a "wonderful banker."

Through the generosity of the Sweetwater Independent School District team, $7,000 was recently donated to the local Nolan County United Way.
This donation will support nine local agencies including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Senior Nutrition Activities Program (SNAP), Gateway Family Services, West Texas Children's Advocacy Center, Women's Resource Center, Cancer Services Network, Sweetwater Backpack Buddies and Big Country Medical Reserve Corp.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 44 calls for service, issued three citations and made one arrest on Feb. 4, 2013.
The SPD received 19, 911 calls.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 11 calls for service, served no civil papers and made two arrests on Feb. 4, 2013.

It may have been a bad night for Sweetwaterâ€™s two varsity basketball teams here Tuesday against Wylie, but there was good news.
The Sweetwater girls (5-4, 19-14) can still advance to the playoffs by beating Big Spring (5-4, 17-15) this Friday in a District 4-3A tiebreaker to decide who will get the No. 3 playoff berth.
The Roscoe girls basketball team waited until the final game of the regular season to clinch a playoff spot out of District 13-A, Division II Tuesday. The Plowgirls punched their ticket with a 50-16 win over Loraine to finish second in district with a 7-3 record and join first-place Highland and third-place Westbrook as the three postseason representatives. Faith Boren paced Roscoeâ€™s win with 21 points.
Thersa Verdell McKnight Stifflemire, 89, of Sweeny, Texas, passed away on Monday Feb. 4, 2013, at Emerus Hospital in Sugarland, Texas.
She was born on June 18, 1923, in Kelsey, Texas to Samuel McKnight and Gladys Corilla Luton.
