Graveside services for Donald Everett Brennan, Sr., 75, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Rockwall, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Brennan died Monday, July 1, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Dallas, Texas. He married Patricia Dawson on Oct. 17, 1958 in Mesquite, Texas. Donald was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater. He served in the Air Force and also worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas as an Electronic Technician.
The Junior League (ages 13-14) all-stars are the last remaining Sweetwater team at District 5 Little League tournaments in Abilene.
The Junior Leaguers, who began the tournament by going 0-2 in pool play, got bracket play off to a rousing start with dominating wins over Jim Ned (25-4) and Snyder (19-9) before suffering their first loss, 22-5, to Wylie on Saturday.
But Sweetwater is still alive after Mondayâ€™s 11-10 win over Abilene North that advanced it into todayâ€™s losers bracket semifinal. The team plays Abilene Eastern at Wylieâ€™s field at 6 p.m.

One person was killed and one was injured at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday in a two vehicle crash in Nolan County.Â This crash occurred five miles north west of Roscoe.
Silvia Torres TreviĂ±o, 75, of Roscoe, was driving a 2011 Nissan east on U.S. Highway 84. Richard Anthony Ginn, 50, of Lubbock, was driving a 2004 Ford pickup west on U.S. 84.Â The Nissan crossed the center stripe and struck the Ford pickup head-on.Â
The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce gave the newly built McDonald's restaurant a warm welcome back to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, June 30, the afternoon before the restaurant's midnight opening to the public.

Funeral services for Richard Lee Conley, Jr., 54, of Sweetwater, are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
Conley died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his home.

Lily May Rhoton, age 77, of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her residence.

Lily was born on Oct. 6, 1935 in Sweetwater to Lee and Jewel (McLaughlin) Giesler. She married John Rhoton. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and also worked for the The Village Grocery Store as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Sylvia T. TreviĂ±o, 75, of Roscoe, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Father Charles Okonkwo will officiate and interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
TreviĂ±o died Sunday, June 30, west of Roscoe.
