Marian Ann Montgomery and her husband, Barry, of Dallas, toured the WASP Museum Friday evening and visited with museum and community representatives. Marian Ann is a museum and textile consultant and has experience in museum administration, archival and curatorial projects and program development.
A resolution was read and approved at Monday's county commissioners meeting honoring Wes Bishop from Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH) Physical Therapy Department.
Nolan County Judge Tim Fambrough read the resolution, which cited Bishop's distinguished service as a leader of the community. In 1977, Bishop helped establish the first physical therapy department at the hospital, in which his efforts improved the quality of life for many individuals.
The hit show Storage Wars Texas filmed a segment for the current season at Texas State Technical College West Texas. The showâ€™s contestants found a small wind turbine in a storage locker, so the show traveled to Sweetwater to meet up with local wind expert, Keith Plantier, Director of Energy Systems at TSTC West Texas. Keith powered up the turbine to ensure it was in working order then valued it for contestants Ricky and Bubba.

Bray Amos is the Football Player of the Week for Sweetwater.
Amos scored four touchdowns, two on receptions and two on runs, in a 39-31 win over Andrews last Friday. He also had two solo tackles and broke up a pass.
