A back-to-school pep rally took place recently at East Ridge Elementary School, getting students fired up for the new year.
The theme of the pep rally was â€śMarvel Muscles, Marvel Mindsâ€ť and special guest Spider-Man made an appearance at the event, leading students in a Zumba session. Students are shown spelling â€śEast Ridgeâ€ť during a cheer at the pep rally.

Funeral services for Wilma Floy Stanley, 86, of Roscoe, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Roscoe Church of Christ with Dan Boren and Royce Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Stanley died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in Sweetwater. She was born April 4, 1927, in Cole County, Okla. She married Don Stanley on Jan. 18, 1946, in Hawthorne, Calif. Wilma came to Roscoe in 1977 and was a nurseâ€™s aide for many years and was a member of the Roscoe Church of Christ.
