Gwendolyn Boyd was the Lucky One Sweepstakes Mini iPad winner for the month of April.
This contest has been running from Feb. 1 and ended on May 31. First Financial has given away three Mini iPads and has one more to announce soon.

During Tuesday’s meeting of the Sweetwater City Commission, a public hearing was held to consider a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission on a rezoning request.
Eric and Mindy von Atzigen, Pastors at Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Sweetwater, recently returned from a 10-day mission trip to Croatia, Macedonia and Albania.
Eric and Mindy traveled with Randy Boyd of Prepare International to train and encourage church leaders in these countries.

A brief City Manager's report was heard during Tuesday's City Commission meeting, as Eddie Brown gave updates on current city projects.
Construction on the SNAP (Senior Nutrition Activities Program) building is underway, as windows are being placed. The expectation is for the building to be a nice facility where participants can return, and in a timely manner.
Linda Guy Jarman, age 70, of Lubbock, Texas, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at University Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through her 12-year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James F. Jarman of Lubbock.
Linda was born in Gorman, Texas on July 5, 1942 and grew up in Lovington, New Mexico. She was the daughter of the late W.O. and Juanita Guy.
SWEETWATER
A Mustang Tennis Camp will be held June 17-21 at the Sweetwater Middle School tennis courts for students entering grades 3-9. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $30 without getting a camp T-shirt and $40 with a camp T-shirt.

Teen Night at The Lumberyard in Roscoe will be from 7-11 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013. The event will be a dance for students entering the ninth through 12th grades. There will be a $5 cover charge and plenty of adult supervision. For more information, call 325-436-8279.
On Tuesday night, June 11, 2013, at approximately 9:46 p.m., a jailer in the Nolan County Jail was performing routine duties in the main population area of the facility when the jailer was notified of an inmate that appeared to be in some form of medical distress. The inmate was in fact observed to be in distress and the jailer had emergency medical personnel notified immediately.
An ambulance and emergency medical personnel from the Sweetwater Fire Department were dispatched and jail personnel immediately began performing CPR life saving measures.
Five people were jailed on Tuesday after pleading true to revoking their probation during 32nd Judicial District Court.
