November 15, 2013

BROADWAY BAPTIST CHURCH
I know each of our hearts have been broken by the devastation and destruction caused by the typhoon in the Philippines. The pictures, the reports, the loss of life and the starving people have touched our hearts and caused us to want to help. It is sad to hear reports that people were so hungry they rushed a government rice house only to have the walls collapse on the crowd, killing eight. It brings to truth the reality that hungry people will do whatever is necessary for food.

They get another chance to do that at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook. And the Horn-ets (9-1) — who have played an actual game only once in the past month — will prob-ably be chomping at the bit to face Lueders-Avoca (7-3) in bi-district.
