Beginning this weekend, the Sweetwater Reporter will change the Sunday edition newspaper to the Weekend Edition newspaper.
Our Weekend Edition will hit the streets sooner on the weekend, by Saturday afternoon, much like the daily newspaper, and will feature a full-color B Section, boasting area sports.

Nolan County hosted the West Texas Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (WTASWCD) meeting in Sweetwater on Tuesday. The group, consisting of members from several west Texas counties, toured the WASP Museum in the morning, then met at the Student Center of Texas State Technical College for lunch and a business meeting. Carol Cain and Sandra Spears led a tour at the WASP Museum and gave a brief history of the women and how they served their country during World War II.
A bid was awarded for the construction of the Nolan County Coliseum roof during Monday's meeting of the Nolan County Commissioners.
Three bids were presented at the previous meeting held on August 12 and since that time were reviewed. At the meeting, a representative from one of the companies who submitted a bid, CMG Construction, was in attendance and discussed the construction process.
Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday around 1:23 a.m. on IH-20 at mile marker 238, two miles east of Roscoe in Nolan County.
Vehicles involved included a 2009 Ford four-door vehicle driven by Randy B. Blake III of Alamogordo, N.M. and a 2009 Volvo 18-wheeler, driven by Marsha Marie Bolin of Balch Springs.

The final score was just 23-13 when Sweetwater opened its 2012 season by defeating Eastland at home in Shane Mobleyâ€™s debut as head coach.
But the teams combined for 710 yards, and with Sweetwater having a year to adjust to Mobleyâ€™s spread offense, that number could go higher in Fridayâ€™s season-opening rematch at 7:30 p.m. in Eastland.
After defeating Graham in five games, Sweetwater lost a 3-0 decision Tuesday against Breckenridge in a dual volleyball match that was played at Graham.
Kayla Chowning had sev-en kills, Maddie Berry five and Shaneese Brown, Kensi Chowning and Ziggy Collins four apiece against Graham as Sweetwater won 25-22, 18-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-9.
But the Lady Mustangs couldnâ€™t stop Breckenridge, which won 25-22, 25-18, 25-17, forcing Sweetwater (7-11) to settle for a split.

The Sweetwater Youth Football League (SYFL) Cheerleaders will be holding a Spirit Night fundraiser at the Sweetwater Taco Bell on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. When you order, please mention Spirit Night and a percentage of your bill will be given to the SYFL cheerleaders.
There will be no pre-sale tickets for the Friday game against Eastland. Tickets may be purchased at the gate. The prices will be $5 for adults and $3 for students at the gate. The ball game will be played in Eastland with kick-off at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 235-8601 ext. 116
