Suddenlink announced that it has launched its Suddenlink2GO mobile app.Â Using Synacor technology, the app allows customers to watch live TV networks and on-demand TV shows on an iOS tablet anywhere at home or on the go. The app is available to download free of charge at the Apple iTunes App Store.
With the Suddenlink2GO app, authenticated customers initially can watch programming from networks that include Bravo, NBC, NBC Sports, Fox News, CNBC, Fox Business,Â Oxygen, USA Network, E!, Golf Channel, Syfy and more.Â
The Region 14 ESC: Migrant/Bilingual/ESL will be hosting a BlockFest on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Nolan Room of Region 14, located at 1850 State Highway 351, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The free event is for families with children from 8 months to 8 years of age.
The hands-on, block-building extravaganza will teach math and science through block play. The event will increase parent knowledge of early development in the areas of math and science education, while also providing opportunities to increase social skills and literacy opportunities for young children.
An update on the bond election activities for the Phase 4 renovation and expansion at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH) was given by hospital administrator Donna Boatright during her monthly report at the Nolan County Hospital District's board of directors meeting held on Monday night.
Around 60 people came to vote on the first day of early voting. Early voting will take place at the RPMH administration office weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., now through Tuesday, May 6.

Graveside services for Billy Joe Glenn, 88, of Sweetwater will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Rev. James Barker will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Glenn died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Funeral services for Christopher Limones, 29, of Roscoe will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Pastor Francisco Ortega will officiate and interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Limones died, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Irion County.
He was born June 27, 1984, in Sidney, Montana.

Graveside services, with full Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, Texas. Pastor Daniel Dotson, First Baptist Church Blackwell, Texas will be officiating, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

The Republican Women of West Texas will host a Meet the Candidate event Thursday, May 1, 2014. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the TJB Outdoors building on the corner of Lamar and Colorado Streets.
The speakers will be City Commissioner Precinct 4 candidates, Jerod Peek (incumbent) and Jeremy Wilks; Precinct 2 candidates, Jim McKenzie (incumbent) and Miesha Hand and School Board District 5 candidates, Danny Escobar and Jana Hall.
Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas will host Sweetwater Career Day for several area high schools on Thursday from 9:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This will be an opportunity for area organizations and businesses to share information with hundreds of students about what their profession has to offer.
