Sweetwater will face Dalhart in a Class 4A bidistrict volleyball playoff at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Lubbock Monterey High School.

RPMH to undergo more major expansions

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital will receive more major upgrades as it heads into its fourth and final phase of construction, which has been ongoing for about 4 1/2 years. Included in the next expansion will be a labor and delivery unit, a dialysis center and in-house magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Terry’s Homemade Ice Cream now selling coffee

As temperatures drop and the fall season transitions to the winter, one local business is adapting their menu with a new addition. Terry's Homemade Ice Cream and Italian Ice is now serving gourmet-style hot and cold coffees, according to barista Mandy Beasley.

Community service uplifts town of Winters

October 31, 2014

On Oct. 25, area church members (close to 300) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints traveled to Winters, Texas, to give community service to projects that had been specified. The group met at the community center and was then given their assignments. 
Other churches featured in this week's Religion page are: Avondale Baptist Church, Broadway Baptist Church, Emmanuel Fellowship Church, First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Highland Heights United Methodist Church, and Lamar Street Baptist Church.
