The seventh grade Red girls lost all four games at Sweetwaterâ€™s recent tourna-ment that was held this past weekend.
Sweetwater lost to Merkel 36-16 and Snyder 26-20 on Dec. 12, then fell to Merkel 45-23 and Snyder 37-28 on Dec. 13.
Many businesses, organizations and individuals participated in this yearâ€™s Sweetwater Parade of Lights on Monday evening. Sweetwaterâ€™s Outstanding Citizens and Business of the Year were parade marshals and Santa finished the parade.

(West Texas) â€“ The Texas State Technical College fall graduation ceremony will be held at the Abilene Civic Center on Monday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.
There will be 155 graduates with 81 graduating with an Associate of Applied Science degree (13 Associate Degree Nursing) and 74 Certificates of Completion will be awarded.
There will be 15 graduates receiving Board of Regents â€“ 4.000 GPA every term; 49 graduates receiving With Honors â€“ 3.500-3.999 Cumulative GPA; 25 Phi Theta Kappa Honors; and seven Wind Energy graduates will receive The Texas Skills Standards Board â€“ Recognized Credential Seal.
A large Sunoco oil pipeline is being laid, with sites visible on the south side of I-20 towards Roscoe and west of highway 70 south of Sweetwater.
Though contractors at the sites are tight-lipped, the line is likely a part of Sunoco's Permian Express II project, which its website shows is slated to run through Nolan County.
When Kyle Brauneck needed to complete a major project in his quest to become an Eagle Scout, he contacted the National WASP WWII Museum.
Museum director Michael Ables had the perfect task in mind: to build a World War II-era flight simulator to be displayed on the exhibit floor in Hangar One.
