Melanie Martinez, a contestant from The Voice, will perform at the Municipal Auditorium with Kimberly Dunn and Kristine Mirelle Saturday, Oct. 19 for the Sweetest Day Benefit concert.
Martinez finished at #5 on last Fallâs season of The Voice as part of Adam Levineâs team. Levine said many times on the show that he liked her because her voice and style were unique. Her uniqueness was obvious from the beginning as she played a tambourine with her feet while she played the guitar, singing Britney Spearsâ, âToxicâ with her own softer, Indie approach to the song.

In a natural or man-made disaster where many citizens, especially children are involved, âVerbal Judoâ is the means for calming a potentially volatile situation before it can manifest into physical violence. This kind of âconflict managementâ involves using posture, body language, tone of voice, choice of words and many more examples were given by Mr. Davis.

SNYDER â In sports, as in life, you have to take advantage of opportunities for success whenever they come your way.
In Fridayâs District 4-3A opener, Sweetwater reached Snyderâs red zone on its first two possessions of the game â and came away with nothing to show for it in a scoreless first quarter.
The Mustangs also forced Snyder to punt on its first series, but the Tigers took the lead with a 16-play, 93-yard scoring drive that began at the end of the first period and resulted in a 1-yard touchdown run by DâVincent Allison.
