Miller is entering his 17th year at SHS where he has not only been an assistant coach in basketball, softball, track and volleyball at the high school level but has also coached basketball, football, track and volleyball at the middle school level since being hired.
Giles Montgomery, a former all-state lineman at Sweetwater High School and a 2004 graduate of SHS, is returning to the sidelines this year as an assistant football coach.
Montgomery, who also played collegiately at Texas Christian University after his star-studded high school career here in the early 2000s, will coach the offensive line. He replaces Bobby Williams, who left to join Craig Slaughter’s coaching staff at Llano.
