This year's campaign for the Nolan County United Way (NCUW) is "Give Where You Live", which focuses on serving local entities.
Wendy Smartt is the group's Executive Director, and she leads a board of volunteers from the community who hope to impact the community through a caring power. The organization is run solely on pledges.
To donate to the Nolan County United Way, a one-time donation can be given by a payroll deduction or a quarterly basis. These donations allow the NCUW to reach thousands within the county by supporting nine agencies.

In an effort to motivate Sweetwater High School students to apply themselves and earn high grades, Texas National Bank has established an award they call âGood Grades Pay.â The concept is simple, make the A Honor Roll for a six week period and have your name entered into a drawing to win $50. The pool of names is separated by grade so that one A Honor Roll student from each grade will win $50 for a total give away of $200 every six weeks.
