After a gutwrenching loss to Monahans this past week, Sweetwaterâs football team must have two things happen Friday in order to get into the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
First, Sweetwater must defeat Wylie, which not only has clinched a playoff spot but is the No. 2-ranked team in the state with a 9-0 record and is 4-0 in district play. Also, Sweetwater must hope that Snyder (1-3, 3-6) beats Greenwood (2-2, 6-3) which would make Sweet-water the districtâs No. 3 team with a 3-2 record.
