Highland Heights United Methodist Church recently consecrated their collection of “Deck the Halls and Line the Walls.” Grocery sacks filled with can food and staples for 13 needy families, along with gifts for 29 children in Christmas wrapped shoe boxes were personally delivered by congregational members during the week prior to Christmas. United Steel Workers #173, a local group, presented $300 to the West Texas Children's Advocacy Center for their Angel Tree project. The Angel Tree provides gifts for children who were served this year at the advocacy center.
