It's been known as "a day which will live in infamy," and the attack on the U.S Naval base on Pearl Harbor, located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, on Dec. 7, marks an anniversary that most Americans will remember for years to come.
Sweetwater’s 2010 Christ-mas parade themed “It’s a Wonderful Life” filled the streets with area residents enjoying holiday floats, bike riders and many others along Broadway. The parade ended at the Texas Theatre where Santa Clause was available for photos. Families were also invited to visit the train display inside the theatre.
The children at Sweetwater Christian School are getting ready for their annual Christmas program and silent auction fundraiser. It will be held at First United Methodist Church located on the corner of 4th and Cedar streets. Starting at 5:45 p.m., the bidding on the silent auction will begin, with the program following at 6:30 p.m.
