The 2011 Junior Swine Show was held on February 3-4, at the Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo. The Reserve Champion Yorkshire Swine this year was exhibited by Blake Cumbie with Sweetwater, FFA. Blake is an eighth grader at Sweetwater Middle School. He is shown with his father, Dennis Cumbie.
It's a comfort to know that help is available for those that need it.
The Taylor County Vet Center is branching out and offering counseling services to veterans in the Sweetwater community. Since December, a counselor has been making weekly visits to Sweetwater each Thursday to serve veterans in a local capacity.

In addition, a number of new digital channels in standard definition have been added, including: MTV Jams, VH1 Soul, Nick 2 and Starz Comedy.
Dennis Cumbie , Executive Director for the Nolan County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), announced a Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) signup March 14, 2011 through April 15, 2011. This is the second consecutive year that USDA has offered a general CRP signup.
Highland Heights United Methodist Church recently welcomed the Reeves Family, who were commissioned as missionaries in 2001 serving with The Mission Society in Trujillo, Peru. Rev. Martin is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and also an ordained pastor in the New Mexico Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church where he served as a senior pastor for seven years. The Reeves' vision is to make disciples of Jesus Christ; inviting children, youth and adults into a personal relationship with Christ, discipling them in their faith, and empowering them to be disciple makers.
