Sweetwater was well represented at a network luncheon in Roscoe on April 13. Attendees included Tim Fambrough, Greg Wortham, Jim McKenzie, Jerod Peek, Eddie Brown, Terrie Blankenship, Jacque McCoy, Ken Becker, Kirstin Smith, Kirby Andrews, Rodney Foster and Carolyn Lawrence.
Roscoe community leaders hosted one of five network luncheons sponsored by Texas Midwest Community Network this spring. The luncheon was held at the Roscoe Community Center. Immediately following lunch, discussion focused on “Effective Local Efforts”.Â
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 40 calls for service, issued two citations and made four arrests on April 19, 2011.
The SPD received 13, 911 calls.
Calls for service:
• Theft — 200 block of E. Arizona.
• Burglary of building — 500 block of Lamar.
Arrested by SPD:
• Aaron Treviño, 21 — Warrants.
• Justin Tollison, 19 — Warrants.
• Arturo Treviño, 52 — Public intoxication.
• Stephen Getty, 55 — Public intoxication.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had six calls for service, served five civil papers and made no arrests on April 19, 2011.
