Cancer Services Network (CSN) plans to broadcast CancerCareâs ConnectÂ® Workshop Part III of Cancer Survivorship: Living With, Though, and Beyond Cancer. This workshop entitled Changing Roles and Responsibilities for Caregivers is scheduled on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, from noon to 1:30 p.m. This session is for cancer survivors, their families and friends. Information will be shared to help them cope with concerns that arise after treatment.
The Nolan County Foundation recently donated $5,000 to the City of Sweetwater Senior Nutritional Activities Program (SNAP). The funds are to be matched by the City of Sweetwater and will be used to purchase fixtures and other items needed by SNAP. The congregate program is temporarily occupied in the Trail of Lights building across the parking lot from the old structure.
The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health Department welcomes âBuzzy the Beeâ to the staff. Buzzy will help promote the health department's immunization program. Children will have an opportunity to meet him during Immunization Fun Days this summer.
SNCHD will be at the library on Wednesday, June 13 at 10 a.m. to do story time for Kindergarten through third grade children.
