Doug Sitter State Farm, located at 208 Lamar Street in Sweetwater, will be hosting two free seminars this week. "With so many changes right now in health care we wanted to offer some information on what the future holds and how we can help," said Doug Sitter, State Farm agent.
The Sweetwater VFW Post 2479 Nolan County Honor Guard hosted its annual Veteransâ€™ Day flag-raising ceremonies honoring all veterans on Monday morning.
Coffee and donuts were served starting at 6:15 a.m. and the flag raising took place at 6:30 a.m. Judge Tim Fambrough was the guest speaker.

On this Veterans' Day, we take time to remember all the men and women who serve and continue to serve our nation in the name of freedom. While their bond is strong during combat, the unity remains years later, as one local veteran proved that to assist one family in learning the full story of a family member lost during World War II.
The WASP Museum (Womenâ€™s Air Service Pilots) hosted runners of all ages Saturday afternoon for their annual Run for the WASP. The WASP run is an annul fundraiser benefitting the museum and honoring the women who served as WASPs.
Men and women competed in a 5K run, while others could walk a mile to show support.
