The BridgeTex Pipeline is a joint venture between Magallan Midstream Partners (MMP) and Occidental Petroleum.Â Magallan is constructing the pipeline to transport crude oil from the Permian Basin to the Houston area and will also be the pipeline operator.Â The project consists of approximately 450 miles of 20â to 24â pipe from Colorado City to Houston with a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day.Â Construction is expected to be complete by July 2014. TxDOT is planning signal work this week at Arizona Avenue near Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital as work progresses on the Lamar Street (SH 70) reconstruction project.
The intersection at Lamar and Arizona will temporarily be posted as a four-way stop beginning Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 to allow crews to replace the existing traffic signals. Warning signs will be posted to alert traffic of the change. Traffic flow and access in the vicinity of the hospital will be maintained at all times.
The new signals should be installed and functioning within about a week.
