Today, October 30, Story Hour at the County-City Library for parents and their children will be at 10:45 a.m.
Library staff will lead the parents and children in stories and songs. Call 235-4978 for more information or go to www.sweetwaterlibrary.org.
Also, the Nolan County Sign Ups for Goodfellows will continue today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1-3 p.m. at the Sweetwater Fire Station, located at 900 E. Broadway. Applicants need to bring latest proof of income, approval notice for food stamps, birth certificate for each child, pay stub and approval notice for T.A.N.F.

It's that time of the year again, and Goodfellows is getting ready. This past week the Goodfellows had a meeting and were excited to see so many new faces and volunteers.

Members of the Sweetwater High School volleyball team react after their five-set win Tuesday over Big Spring. The Lady Mustangs will take a 22-12 season record into the playoffs next week.

Today, October 29, the Nolan County Sign Ups for Goodfellows will take place through the 31st, from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1-3 p.m. each day at the Sweetwater Fire Station, located at 900 E. Broadway. Applicants need to bring latest proof of income, approval notice for food stamps, birth certificate for each child, pay stub and approval notice for T.A.N.F.
Also, the Adult Literacy/ESL class will meet at the County-City Library at 9:30 a.m.

TSTC hosts Big Country BEST Robotics competition

The Big Country Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Robotics hub, which is managed by Texas State Technical College, took place on Saturday, Oct. 25. This year’s topic was Blade Runner, which is all about the engineering challenges associated with the implementation of modern wind energy technology.
