The Sweetwater campus held a toy drive to help Goodfellows this holiday season.Â Employees and PTK student organization assisted in the drive. The Sweetwater Goodfellows held their toy distribution on Friday, helping many families with Christmas toys for children of Nolan County that they might not have otherwise. Many volunteers â including individuals, organizations and businesses, contributed their time at the distribution and Christmas party. See more photos in today's edition.

The Mustang Moms sponsored a bonfire on Thursday evening to show student athletes that the community is proud of their success. Sweetwater High School football secured a fourth round playoff seat against Celina High School at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Wichita Falls.
Nolan County has a new AgriLife Extension agent in Labeth Carter.
A West Texas native, Carter is prepared to develop and present a number of educational programs the organization is versed in instructing.

The APPLAUSE Music Series presents âAmahl and the Night Visitorsâ at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium (400 Locust Street).
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door or in advanced by calling the Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce at 325-235-5488.

On Saturday, December 6, the Junior High NASP Archery Qualifiers Tournament will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the PE gym at Sweetwater High School on 1200 Crane. There is an entry fee at the gate.
Sixth through eighth graders from Sweetwater, Colorado City, Snyder and Big Spring will compete. Qualifiers are determined by state scores and could go to the state tournament in Belton in March.
Also, Sweetwater's 41st annual Christmas Craft Show will be held at the Nolan County Coliseum Annex on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Today, we'll have areas of fog before 9 a.m., but after that we'll have mostly sunny skies with a high near 70. Winds will be from the south-southwest at 10 to 15 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon.
Expect partly cloudy conditions tonight, with a low around 43 and northern winds at 5 to 10 mph.
This weekend, we should see highs in the mid to upper 50s with lows in the low to mid 40s. On Saturday night, a 20% chance of rain will enter the area, increasing to 30% on Sunday. Winds will vary at 5 to 10 mph.

Nolan County Game Warden Jake Simmering is seeking information about an incident involving illegal waste of game and dumping which occurred on or about Nov. 26.
