6 cups popped popcorn
1 tablespoon melted butter, optional
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast or brewerâ€™s yeast (found at health food stores)
1/2 teaspoon curry powder, optional

The annual toy drive to benefit the Sweetwater Goodfellows is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 1, at Wal-Mart. Sweetwater Goodfellows provides food and toys to families with children and individuals in need during the Christmas season.
Members of the Nolan County Foundation Board recently announced a Challenge Grant of $2,000 to the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium to be used for purchasing a Yamaha digital electric grand piano. Because the piano is digital, it never has to be tuned and it has the capability of several different "voices". The electric piano rivals the sound of a large acoustic grand piano and has the added grand piano feel when played. Also, it is easily moved.
Several improvements within the Sweetwater ISD athletic department were discussed at the SISD board meeting on Monday, November 19, notably for the roof of the field house and the Sweetwater Middle School tennis courts.
The presentations were made by the Sweetwater ISD athletic director Shane Mobley and the district's maintenance director Scott Lambert.
The fieldhouse was constructed in 1982 and its roof has not seen any type of improvements since its construction over thirty years ago. As a result, water leaks in the roof and ceiling have been seen in the field house.
A public hearing was held during the Nolan County Commissioners meeting on Monday morning, November 26 at the county courthouse.
The hearing was in regards to changes in the county ordinance which regulate food establishments--including food service establishments, retail food stores, day cares--a new addition to the list, mobile food units, temporary food establishments and roadside food vendors.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 30 calls for service, issued two citations and made no arrests on Nov. 26, 2012.
The SPD received 14, 911 calls.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had eight calls for service, served one civil paper and made seven arrests on Nov. 26, 2012.

â€˘ Rosalio Gutierrez, Jr., 48, of Snyder â€”Â Warrants/surety withdrawal and violation of probation.
Today, it will be sunny with a high near 70. Winds will be from the south at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

The burn ban for Nolan County was reinstated at the county commissioners' meeting on Monday morning, November 26, 2012 at the Nolan County Courthouse.
The commissioners jointly discussed the idea on whether to leave the burn ban off, but then Sweetwater Fire Chief Grant Madden--who was in attendance at the meeting--was asked about the overall outlook of the county. Madden stated that the weather outlook is projecting drier and windier conditions, leading the commissioners to make the decision.
