1 cup Buckwheat groats
Buckwheat groats can be substituted with Quinoa, Pearl Barley, Bugler or Brown Rice
1 Â˝ cups water
2 tablespoons *Red Miso
1 tablespoon Canola oil
1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
Texas country artist Josh Grider will be in Roscoe for a performance at The Lumberyard on Friday, March 15.
Grider is currently featured on the "Troubadour, Texas" television series as an artist "chasing the dream". Prior to his local performance, he held the #1 spot on the Texas Regional Radio Report for two weeks in a row, as well as the #2 spot on the Texas Music Chart, for his song "Lonestar Highway".

Toward the conclusion of the meeting of SEED's (Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development) board of directors, an executive session was held to discuss various matters.
Following the closed meeting, the agenda listed for the board to "review and consider approving a resolution from the City of Sweetwater requesting SEED's assistance in funding improvements to a portion of their water/sewer lines."
However, while a motion was made on the matter, a second failed to be offered, thus killing the motion.
Miss Texas DaNae Couch visited several Sweetwater schools while visiting Sweetwater this past week for the Rattlesnake Round-Up. Couch also attended the Miss Snake Charmer Pageant and was seen at the Rattlesnake Round-Up all weekend.
Couch graduated with distinction from Baylor University's Honors College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Public Relations. After graduation, she began pursuing her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Texas Tech University School of Law where she is in her third year.
Two blood drives were originally planned to take place in Sweetwater on Thursday, March 14. One drive was planned to take place at the Nolan County Courthouse and the other at the Lions Club building from noon until 6 p.m., however, only the blood drive at the Nolan County Courthouse will take place tomorrow.
During Monday morning's Nolan County Commissioners' meeting, bids were opened for various county items.
Two bids were opened for AC5 paving materials for the county from Alon and Heartland Asphalt Materials, while bids from Warren CAT and Yellowhouse Machinery were opened for road maintainers for Precincts 1 and 3.
While some discussion was held on the items, the commissioners only received the bids during the meeting. Action will be taken at a later date in order for ample time to review and evaluate the bids before making a selection.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 51 calls for service, issued no citations and made no arrests on Mar. 11, 2013.
The SPD received 15, 911 calls.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had five calls for service, served no civil papers and made one arrest on Mar. 11, 2013.

The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce welcomed Love's truck stop to Sweetwater with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Many Chamber Ambassadors and members of the community joined in the celebration including Debbie Anthony, Peggy Parrott, Teresa Zarate, Wayne Chowning, Tim Fambrough, Zollie Steakley, Aida Pantoja, Stacy Dove, Art Maberry, Terry Pittman, Kirby Andrews, Tom Henderson, Kirsten Smith, Jennifer Rosas, Gil Cherry, Brenda Stirl, Kirk Maberry, Don King, Janis McDowell, Nathan Ehlert, Jacque McCoy, Renee Garcia, Mark Garcia and Thea Serrano.
At the Nolan County commissioners' meeting on Monday morning, further action was taken which will allow for continued progress to take place on one of the county projects.
Approval was given on the acceptance of the design development documents for a new jail and sheriff's office--which was dated on January 16, 2013, along with a construction budget of $9,895,123. The approval also authorizes Wiginton, Hooker and Jeffry Architects, the designers of the project, to proceed with the construction document phase.
