The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 39 calls for service, issued two citations and made three arrests on Dec. 12, 2012.
The SPD received 21, 911 calls.

â€¢ Silviu Dumitrascu, 36 â€” Theft.
â€¢ Jerry Espinoza, 28 â€” Warrants/burglary of a habitation/failure to identify fugitive.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had four calls for service, served one civil paper and made two arrests on Dec. 12, 2012.

Tonight before 7 p.m., we'll have a slight chance of precipitation and then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Rain chances will remain at 20%.
The high tonight will be 41 with partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Winds will be from the west-southwest at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Members of the Nolan County Foundation Board are reminding spring 2013 Nolan County high school seniors that the Nolan County Foundation will be promoting its annual Scramble for Scholarships Golf tournament scheduled for April 20, 2013 to be held at the Sweetwater Country Club.
At the Nolan County Commissioners' meeting on Monday morning, December 10, the commissioners took action to approve an order authorizing the issuance of a general obligation bond for 2012 not to exceed $10 million. The bond approved by the commissioners came in at $9,480,000.
Making presentations to the commissioners were Paul Jasin with Specialized Public Finance, Inc. and Tom Pollan from Austin.
Three former Sweetwater High School volleyball players have committed to play next year for Cisco Junior College.

A ceremony for the three athletes was held Tuesday at the SHS library.
Three were jailed and four were given community supervision this week after guilty pleas were made to Judge David Hall during 32nd Judicial District Court proceedings. District Attorney Ann Reed and Assistant District Attorney Barrett Thomas prosecuted the cases.
The Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) board of directors approved the sale of real property inside the Sweetwater Business Park during their meeting on Monday morning, December 10, 2012.
Thirty acres will be purchased by Select Energy, while 40 acres will be bought by Washita Valley. Each entity will be paying $4,000 per acre for their property.
The deal with Washita Valley recently took place last week, in which the company is expecting to bring in up to 40 workers.
Sweetwater Independent School District offers Family Access as a way for parents and guardians to keep up with what and how their students are doing at school.
Family Access is a web-based information and communication center designed to provide parents and guardians with the answer to, "How was school today?"
