A. B. Alvarado, age 68, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Hendrick Medical Center.Â
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by Pauline Gaona.Â
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
A memorial service for Catarino "Papa" Galvan, 82, of Roscoe, will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Roscoe with Billy Joe Jay officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Galvan died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in Lubbock.
He was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married Maria Luisa Rodriguez on June 5, 1955, in San Diego, Texas. Catarino was a farmer and had lived in Roscoe for 40 years and attended the First United Methodist Church in Roscoe.
Emelia A. Garza, 70, of Loraine, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, TX. Funeral services will be Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Kiker-Seale Memorial Chapel. Pastor Paul Smith will be officiating services.
There will be a family visitation Thursday, June, 16, 2011 at 7: p.m. at the funeral home. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
