August 20th
Phyllis Fern Walker, age 75, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater. Â
Her body was cremated and a memorial service will be held in Boscobel, WI at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Charles Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Boscobel Cemetery. Local arrangements were made by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Kendall Funeral Home.
August 19th
Holy Mass of Christian Burial services for Isabel Mendez Luevanos, 67, of Roscoe, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A rosary will be recited by Pauline Gauna and Connie Palacios at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Luevanos died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at her residence in Roscoe.

Sibyl Louise Walding, 93, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Kiker-Seale Chapel. Dr. Jerry Shields will be officiating services.
August 15th
Funeral services for James "Jimmy" LeRoy Stevens, 81, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Keith Clowers officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Stevens died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at his residence.
Funeral services for Dan William Carter, Sr., 89, of Sweetwater, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Rev. Earl Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Carter died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
August 12th
Dr. James (Jim) Henderson Witt, 89, of Sherman, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2011, due to complications from a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Mount Pleasant, Texas on Dec. 1, 1921, Jim was the son of Thelma Henderson Witt and Dr. James Estes Witt. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1939, attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas and graduated from Baylor Dental School in Dallas in 1944.

Colorado City – Mr. James Larry Free, age 67, of Colorado City, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at Oak Street Baptist Church in Colorado City, Texas. Rev. Jackie Brim will be officiating services. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Dan W. Carter, Sr., 89, of Sweetwater, are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
Carter died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
August 5th
A graveside service for Darlene Jones, 61, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Don Bennett. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Jones died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, in Abilene.
Stanley Goff, of Mason, passed away on Monday, August 1, at the age of 61. Mr.
