Billy G. Rogers, 82, of Sweetwater, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Sweetwater. His body will be cremated with private family services at a later date.
Graveside services for James E. “Blackie” Blackwell, 97, of San Angelo, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Blackwell Cemetery. Rev. Ward Hayes will officiate with interment to follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Blackwell died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in San Angelo.
He was born March 12, 1915 in Paris, Texas. He was married to Francis Evelyn Goodwin. He loved his wife dearly. He enjoyed golf, gardening, fishing and talking with friends. He also loved taking care of fruit trees and reading.
Graveside services for Ralph W. Porter, Jr., 81, of Nolan, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Slater's Chapel. Rev. Vic Meyer will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Porter died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
He was born June 11, 1931 in Dora, Texas. He married Wanda Curtis on Jan. 27, 1957 in Lovington, NM. Ralph was a member of Nolan Baptist Church.
Elizabeth Dawn (Burnett) McRae, 62, Nolan County native and former Sweetwater High School teacher, was called to her Heavenly Rest Friday, September 14, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Sherman, Texas, while comforted by her daughter, mother, two sisters, and numerous devoted and helpful friends.
