Gary Arlen Weaver, age 83, of Breckenridge (former resident of Lubbock), passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
As per his wishes, his body was donated for medical research. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Elliott Street Church of Christ in Breckenridge with Mickie McKandles officiating. Local arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Elizabeth â€śBettyâ€ť Jane Walker, age 74, of Brownwood passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Services for Betty will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.
Michael Carter Payne, age 59, of Grapevine, (former resident of Nolan) passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Anson. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Michael was born on Oct. 2, 1954 in Plains, Texas to Walter Carter and Algia (Jones) Payne. He was a member of Nolan Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Andrew Adam Olguin, 19, of Grand Prairie, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Rev. Everisto Granado will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Olguin died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, in Dallas.
Funeral services for Dennis John Wesley (D.H.) Hall, 54, of Abilene, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Elmwood Funeral Chapel in Abilene. Ronnie Woods will officiate and interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elmwood and McCoy Funeral Homes.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
Hall died Monday, Dec. 2, 2103 at Abilene Regional Hospital.
Mary Reed Armstrong passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.
She was born on March 6, 1928. She is survived by her two sons, Bob Armstrong and Sonny Armstrong; and two daughters, Judy Cardwell, wife of Roland Cardwell, and Bonnie Kimbrough, wife of Greg Kimbrough; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mary, you are with God now.

Salado â€“ Tommy Glenn Hipp, 67, died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, AK.
Services will be a visitation at Broecker Funeral Home, Salado, TX on Dec. 3, 2013, from 4-5:15 p.m. A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Salado. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, with a visitation starting at 8 a.m. Internment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery, Olften, TX on Wednesday, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. with military honors.
Services for Billie Sue Irving, 73, of Sweetwater, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Mount Rose Baptist Church with Rev. Tommie J. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
She died on Nov. 29, 2013, in Sweetwater.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1940, in Snyder. She married Arnold Irving. She was a member of Mount Rose Baptist Church, and she worked as a nurse aide.
Dorothy Helen Whisenant-Broughton, 79 of Converse, LA passed from this world in the fellowship of her family and friends on Wednesday, Nov. 27. A native of Roscoe, Texas, â€śDottyâ€ť spent the majority of her life in Sweetwater and Abilene, Texas. The eldest daughter of Sam and Lena Whisenant, of Roscoe, she is survived by her sister Mrs.
Richard Armstrong, 77, of Dublin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Snyder, Texas, to Robert Lee Armstrong and Susan Elizabeth Mimms Armstrong. Richard married Carolyn Watson July 10, 1955, in Sweetwater, Texas.
