Lowell Clovis Epps passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Kerrville, Texas.
Clovis previously resided for many years in Sweetwater, Texas.¬†
Travis Glasgow, age 64, of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at First Apostolic Tabernacle with Revs. Larry Baird, David Greg Boone and Michael Bingham officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Merle Fitts, 92, died on June 21, 2013, in El Dorado, Ark. while in the care of hospice.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Roscoe Cemetery with Father Dennis Bosley officiating.¬†Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery.¬†Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.¬†
Carolyn Fraley Daniel, 70, of Sweetwater, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at a local medical center in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 213 E. 3rd Street in Sweetwater, with arrangements being handled by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 North 2nd in Abilene.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Simona Castro, 96, of Abilene, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Charles Okonkwo officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
A Rosary will be said by Lupe Medellin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Castro died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Abilene.
She was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Fredricksburg, Texas. She married Cipriano Castro on Jan. 5, 1933 in Sweetwater.
Thomas Lee Donohoo III (Tis),¬†66,¬†of Mission, TX,¬†died on June 14, 2013.¬† He¬†passed¬†away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.¬†T.L. was born¬†in Hobbs, N.M. on Nov. 10, 1947.¬†He was a graduate of Sweetwater High School. He was married to Beth Rash Donohoo from August of 1968 until her passing in¬†1992.¬†He¬†honorably served in the¬†United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972.¬†Mr.¬†Donohoo was employed by Lack‚Äôs¬†Furniture for over 30 years.¬†He was an avid huntsman, boatman and artifact collector.¬†He also had a passion for reading and learning¬†that influenced all who knew him.¬†T.L.
Lydia Marie Kafer Althof passed away on June 21, 2013, surrounded by her loving family following a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer‚Äôs. She was born July 25, 1914 in Hurnville, Texas to Karl and Anna Kafer.
She married Richard Emil Althof on Nov. 4, 1934. After living many years in country, they moved to Roscoe, Texas in 1982. They celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Her treasures in her life were her family, the First Baptist Church in Roscoe, her love of God, her home and flower gardens.
David ‚ÄúJets‚ÄĚ Gonzales, 50, of Sweetwater, passed away at his home. Graveside services for David will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Hermleigh Cemetery in Hermleigh. Father Roy Badilles will be officiating services. Family and friends will be meeting Saturday, June 22, 2013 at McCoy Funeral Home at 9 a.m. for visitation.
David was born July 21, 1962 to parents Faustino Gonzales and Elida Bernal in Snyder. He worked at Pepsi Bottling Company in Abilene for last three years and previously worked for Stroman‚Äôs Exxon in Sweetwater.
Funeral services for Stephanie Denise Reep, 39, of Fort Worth, formerly of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Rev. Keith Clower will officiate and interment will follow at Roby Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at McCoy Funeral Home on Monday, June 17 from 6-8 p.m.
Reep died Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Fort Worth.
She was born Jan. 28, 1974 in Abilene. Stephanie graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth. She lived in Fort Worth the past 25 years and in Sweetwater before that.
Donna G. (Waits) Shuler went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2013. She was born to Frances (Waits) Bearden and the late Eugene P. Waits in Sweetwater on Nov. 2, 1948.
