Memorial services for Roy Gene Schroedter, 63, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Pastor Chester McCown officiating.
Schroedter died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at his home in Sweetwater.
He was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Sweetwater. Roy grew up and lived in Fisher and Nolan Counties all his life. He was a farmer and had worked for USG. He was a big supporter of his nieces who played basketball and were on the rodeo circuit and attended all that he could.
John Campbell, Sr., age 88, of Abilene, (former longtime resident of Sweetwater), passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Coronado Nursing Center in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
John was born on July 9, 1924 in Roscoe. He married Edna Hillis on July 9, 1948 in Roscoe. He worked for the City of Sweetwater for 30 years.
Memorial services for Kenneth Eugene Pier, 53, of Roscoe and Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Park at Lake Sweetwater behind the dam with Rian Freeman officiating.
Pier died Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Abilene.
He was born April 18, 1960, in Kokomo, Indiana. He married Teresa Patterson on July 13, 2007 in Niagara Falls, New York. Kenneth lived in Roscoe and worked for Freeman Trucking since 1999 as a truck driver.
Roby â Barbara Higgins Sheffield, age 70, of Roby, Texas, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Baird, with Rev. Ollie Wilburn and Rev. Jimmy Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Ross Cemetery Annex in Baird. Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A visitation with family took place from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in Baird.
Fred Watson was born in Lufkin, TX on Sept. 1, 1931 and died on April 17, 2013.
He is survived by his children, David Watson of Sweetwater, Robert Watson of Midlothian, Kevin Watson and Angela Watson Pearce of Odessa; two brothers and two sisters, nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Watson of Odessa.
Funeral services for Carolyn Price, 64, of Sweetwater are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
Price died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.

Richard Davison, age 63, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
His body was cremated. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 20, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater with family members officiating. Interment will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A family visitation will be held Friday April 19, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
SPRINGTOWN â Coy Lee Moore, 84, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away, Monday, April 15, 2013, in Fort Worth.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Old Sweetwater Cemetery in Sweetwater.
Coy worked for the Sante Fe Railroad as an engineer and retired after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominos.
Polly Wright, 78, passed away April 14, 2013 in Tulsa, Okla. Funeral services for Polly will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Broadway Baptist Church in Sweetwater, with Pastor Wayne Taylor officiating and assisting will be Pastor Chris Stephens and Pastor James Baker. Interment will follow services at Sweetwater Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
