Born on Nov. 18, 1952, Josephine â€śJoâ€ť Hill Henderson was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater, Texas. She was the fifth generation of the Newman ranching family that first settled in Fisher County in 1879. Josephine completed her circle of life at home on June 28, 2014.
Jo was a graduate of the Sweetwater High School Class of 1970. She played tennis for the Mustang Tennis Team for four years and was the cartoonist for the school newspaper, The Pony Express. After graduation, she attended Trinity University in San Antonio.
Memorial services for Terry Edwin (IKEY) Love, 63, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Sweetwater Cornerstone Fellowship Church with Jackie Allison officiating.
Love died Monday, June 30, 2014 in Sweetwater.
Terry was born May 19, 1951 in Sweetwater to Curly and Louise Love. He worked at St. Petersburg College setting up main events. He served in the United States Army.
Thomas E. Paxton, age 88, died on June 23, 2014.
Funeral services for Carl Roy Smith, Jr., 38, will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Bull Dog Stadium in Miles. A private burial will follow. Adams and Starks Funeral Home of San Angelo is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Smith died Monday, June 30, 2014, at Shannon Medical Center.
Survivors include his grandfather, Clarence Cockrell of Hempstead; mother, Patricia Lynn Smith and wife, Leigh Ann Smith, both of Sweetwater; son, Austin Smith; daughters, Lillian Smith of Ballinger and Gloria Brianne Richmond of Huffman; and a sister, Trisha Smith of Sweetwater.
Andrea Melendrez, age 80, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
As per her wishes, her body was cremated. A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church).
Andrea was born on Nov. 30, 1933, in Sweetwater to Jose and Angela (Rosas) Gomez. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church). She was a homemaker.
Marshall Bryan Lister, age 51, of San Angelo, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Shannon Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Slaterâ€™s Chapel Cemetery in Nolan, with Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6:30-8 p.m.
Marshall was born on June 22, 1963 in Sweetwater to John Marvin and Sharlene Mae (Porter) Lister. He was a Baptist.
Betty Lois Brazelton, age 73, of Trent, passed away on June 28, 2014 at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Trent United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenda Pearl West officiating. Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Bessie Ann Vaughn, 83, of Loraine, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Loraine Cemetery. Eric von Atzigen will officiate and interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Vaughn died Friday, June 27, 2014, at Valley Fair Lodge in Colorado City.
She was born July 27, 1930, in Loraine. She married Bill Vaughn in 1975 in Dublin, Texas.
Bessie lived in Loraine most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a graduated of Loraine High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Loraine.
Funeral services for Krisa Denise Shifflett, 38, of Odessa will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Rev. Carolyn Shifflett Easter will officiate and interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Shifflett died Monday, June 30, 2014 at Buana Vida Nursing Home in Odessa.

Henley died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his home.
He was born May 1, 1944 in Rotan. He married Mattie E. â€śSueâ€ť Underwood on Aug. 24, 1967 in Abilene.
