Concepcion (Connie) Palacios, age 73, of Abilene, (former longtime resident of Sweetwater) passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
A rosary was held Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at 7 p.m., at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by family members.
Jason Lee (Jaylee) Allen, age 9, of Blackwell, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014 at the family ranch.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at the Blackwell First United Methodist Church, Blackwell, Texas. Burial will follow at Decker Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Services for Malcolm "Mike" Milligan, 85, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, are pending. He was a resident of Fisher County.
Leola Hartgraves Clark, age 91, of Sweetwater, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at Garden of Memories with Pastor Chester McCown officiating. Burial will follow.
Diane Eileen Creel, age 62, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at Kristi Lee Manor Nursing Home in Colorado City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Mike Crowley officiating. Interment will be at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Betty Lou Jones, 84, longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 at her home in Seminole.
Betty was born April 18, 1930 in Jefferson County near Addington, Okla. to Betsy (McDaniel) and Irving Davis.
Leafy Sue McClure, 84 of Odessa, joined her Savior, Thursday, July 31, 2014.
Sue was born June 2, 1930 to J.F. and Ruby Turner in Sweetwater, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. F. "Dick" and Ruby Turner; and brothers, Jesse Turner, Robert "Bob" Turner and Ray Turner.

When first diagnosed with cancer, he was asked by his physician whether he wanted to fight it or not and his response was his favorite quote: â€śLet us march forth in that high Roman fashion and make Death proud to take us.â€ť
And that he did.
Donnie Guelker, age, 77, of Colorado City, died Friday morning in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the New Life Ministries Church with Revs. James Williams and James McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Donnie was born Dec. 29, 1936, in Hermleigh to Wilbur and Stella Cantwell Laurens and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell and Nolan counties. She was a waitress for many years and a member of the New Life Ministries Church in Colorado City.
Michal Childress, age 68, a resident of the Colorado Springs area since 1996 and formerly of Woodland Park, Colorado, Central Texas and New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 25, 2014 at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Michal Edna Childress was born on February 1, 1946 in Portales, New Mexico to the late Alvin and Edna (Dawkins) Childress. She attended Newman High School in Sweetwater, Texas and attended Santa Monica Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Accounting.
