That is how he lived his life.
Rev. William Jackson, Sr., 100, was born Feb. 23, 1913 to Will and Annabel Linville in Hillsboro, Tx. Ma Annabel later married Dave Jackson and to this union three siblings were born: Will Jackson, Billie "Dunk" Jackson and R.T. Jackson. William, Sr. assumed the family name.
Lendon Melvin White, 78, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Gulf Health Care Center in Galveston.
He was born March 20, 1935, son of Deanie Hill Cope and Orvile White in Marlow, Okla. Lendon was raised in Midland and served in the US Air Force as part of the Canine Corps during the Korean War. Lendon married Kay Maberry in Hobbs, N.M. He worked as a drilling fluids engineer and a PGA Class A Golf Pro for three courses in Texas and Florida. He was also a retired sports broker.
Ellen V. Martin, age 77, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Thelma Maye Adkins, 87, of Midland, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
Maye was born June 17, 1926 in Fisher County, TX to Sarah Edna Ferrell Walker and William Dallas Walker. Maye attended school in Roscoe, TX and also attended Texas Tech College. She taught school in Sylvester, TX. Maye was married to Gerald Adkins on Feb. 18, 1956 in Midland, TX.
Maye was a long time employee of the Midland Reporter Telegram and also worked for the Odessa American.
Manuela (Nellie) S. Aguilar, age 73, of Loraine, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Okonkwo officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Autley Hamilton, 77, of Sweetwater and formerly of Burnet, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Reverend Jeremy Thompson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Hamilton died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
He was born April 15, 1936, in Burnet. He married Bea Broadway in Burnet. Autley moved to Sweetwater from Burnet three years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired carpenter and painter.
HAMLIN - Rebecca Ann "Becky" (Petty) Brown, 64, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at an Abilene hospital.Â

Alice A. Gonzales, age 93, of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

ROBY â€“ Wanda Bernice (Greer) Randolph, 91 passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Roby.Â Visitation was from 5-6 p.m. on Sunday at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.Â
Graveside services for James Paul Owens of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Rev. Herman Bealer will officiate with interment to follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 from 7-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Owens died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
James loved golf, fishing and listening to gospel music. He is survived by his loving wife, six daughters, three sons, two brothers, one sister, 21 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
