Veta Clift, age 88, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.Â
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Garden of Memories with Rev. Donald Hunt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2011, at the funeral home.Â
Veta was born January 19, 1923, in Jones County, Texas to Roy and Havalia King.Â She married James E. Clift in 1940 in Jones County.Â She was a homemaker and a member of Assembly of God Church.Â
Vonnie V. Bentle, age 76, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.Â Â
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Von Atzigen officiating.Â A private gravesideÂ will follow later.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â

Andrea L. Baucom
Andrea L. Baucom, age 60, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at her residence.Â
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Garden of Memories.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Don was survived by his beautiful wife of 41 years, Linda Land; his mother Nona Land; sister Sandra; brother-in-law, Merrill; daughter, Donita Mattern; son-in-law and very good friend Dan Mattern; nieces, Kimberly and Phyllis; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Don was born to Nona and Shelby Land in Brownwood, Texas on Oct. 24, 1942. He was a very well-liked football player in Brownwood and Sweetwater. At the age of 18 years he bravely joined the Navy and married his first wife, Jean. Together they had their only child, daughter Donita, who was born in 1962.
Funeral services for Clayton Brown, 77, of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Roscoe with Rev. Adam Davis and Ervin Lehrman officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Brown died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at his home.
A memorial service for Terri Elaine Stewart, 42, of Roscoe, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, with Rev. James Taylor officiating.
Stewart died Monday, March 28, 2011, in Sweetwater. She was born March 1, 1969, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She married Richard Stewart on Sept. 24, 1997, in Roscoe. Terri attended school in Post, Texas. She was a custodian for Highland School District and worked closely with the sophomore class. She was also a bus driver for the school. Terri had lived in Roscoe since 1999.
Kathleen Jo Frazier, 85 of Marshall, passed away March 27, 2011. She was born March 1, 1926, in McCulloch County, Texas to Harvey Shields and Alberta Sikes Shields.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving Kathleen are two daughters, Doris Coleman of Marshall and Laverne Bryant of Sweetwater; son, Wayne Adkison of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sisters, Marvaleen Kildore, Francis Cryer and Joyce Reagan, of Oklahoma; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, G.L. Shields.
Kenneth B. Ellis, age 59, of Trent, Texas passed away March 27, 2011, at his residence with his loved ones around him.Â Â Â
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Lamar Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating.Â Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Charles (CP) Davis was born on October 11, 1929 in Normangee, TX and entered Heavenâ€™s gates on March 24, 2011.
CP grew up in Sweetwater, TX and graduated from Newman High School in 1947.Â After graduation he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad.Â He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Â In 1961, CP moved to Oklahoma City where he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration until his retirement on October 12, 1989.Â He loved camping, fishing, bowling, roller skating and was an avid bird watcher.Â
Lou Edna Blair, age 89, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.Â
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. James Baker officiating, assisted by Rev. Chris Stephens.Â Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Lou Edna Blair was born April 17, 1921 in Nolan County, Texas to Samuel Christopher and Mary Belt (Stout) Cox.Â She married James Milam Blair in Sweetwater, Texas.Â
