Leola Haden, age 71, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Hendrick Medical Center.Â
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Carey officiating.Â Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.Â
Funeral services for Glenn Bond Fitzgerald, 90, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Pastor Ron Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Fitzgerald died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Sweetwater.
Mateo Caballero went to be with the lord on May 10, 2011 at 4 a.m. at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. He was surrounded at his bed side by his daughters, Rosa, Sylvia, Margie, Mickey, Matilda and granddaughter, Sandy.
Mateo Caballero was born in Kennedy, Texas on March 11, 1923. He was 88 years old. He lived a happy life in Sweetwater for 44 years. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He married Maria Limones on Sept. 5, 1942 in Violet, Texas.
A memorial service for Tony Wayne Fisher, 42, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Word of God Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Dale Stowe officiating.
Fisher died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.
Thomas Mirron Sanders, age 76, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Monahans, TX. He was born May 9, 1934 in Hermleigh, TX; to William and Marietta (George) Sanders.
Thomas was a member of the Church of God in Kermit, TX and loved to fish.
Charles Randall Diggs, 85, passed away May 8, 2011, at his home after an extended illness. Funeral will be Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Earl Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mavis Whitteker, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on May 4, 2011, at the age of 99. She exemplified true Christianity in every way. Those who were privileged to have known her loved her. She spent her life in tireless service to her family and others. Mavis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 45 years, fulfilling many roles and responsibilities. The admonition of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, to âCome Follow Meâ was the guiding light for her life.
Memorial services for Imogene Thomas Carter, 92, of Sweetwater, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Earl Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Carter died April 18, 2011, at her home.
She was born Nov.15, 1918, in Fancy Farm, Ken. She married Dan W. Carter in December of 1945 in Mississippi. Imogene moved to Sweetwater in February of 2011 from California. She and her family had live in El Paso and Las Vegas in the past. She was a homemaker.
A graveside service for Charles Ray Blackburn, 53, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Sweetwater Cemetery, with Rev. James Baker officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Blackburn died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Sweetwater.
He was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Sweetwater. Charles had lived in Sweetwater most all his life. He had worked for Alex Transportation, Ennis Trucking, Union 76 in the shop and the past four years at La Quinta Inn as a cook. He attended Sweetwater schools and was Pentecostal.
Loraine â Ms. Juanita Garcia, age 64, of Loraine, died Monday morning, May 2, 2011, in a San Angelo hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in the St Josephâs Catholic Church in Loraine with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
